2 years ago today, I was accepted to Vanderbilt ED1.
I spent that whole day , but especially the entire car ride home stuck in traffic from an event, convincing myself that I was never going to actually be accepted to a school like Vanderbilt.
And yet, here I am on the first of December 2018, preparing for finals, catching up with friends, and reflecting on the incredible first 13 weeks I have had at Vanderbilt.
The college admissions process is wild.
But, I never fully realized until now how Vanderbilt was always the place I was meant to be, even before I knew that Vanderbilt was even a college.
The classes, the professors and faculty, the organizations, the resources, the free events: they are all truly out-of-this-world.
But, for me, it all boils down to one thing, whenever I’ve talked with anyone here this whole semester.
The people.
I have no idea where exactly my life is heading, because no matter how many plans I try to make, there are and will always be surprises.
But, I already know that no matter where life takes me and all my VU pals now and in the future, I could never possibly forget them.
How else would I end this but with a quote from a Disney song?
“Cause when we’re together
I have everything on my list”
