Me: Finishes all of Spanish HW for the semester in September
Margaret: Learns she has a paper due for a class the day before it’s due
Me: Wakes up at 6 every morning and gets a lot of homework done before my 9 am
Margaret: Waits until the very last minute to do anything
Me: All of my professors learn my name by the second week of class and ask me to answer questions almost always when I’m not paying attention
Margaret: None of her professors know her name, so they never ask her questions
Me: Goes to bed at 11pm at the latest, even on weekends
Margaret: Goes to bed at 2 am
Me: Worries when I haven’t finished reading Chapter 2 of my textbook for Child Development
Margaret: Still hasn’t finished reading Chapter 1
Me: Runs on water, iced tea, and a vanilla iced coffee maybe once a week
Margaret: Instead of water, 70% of her body is coffee
Although her level of procrastination is one I could never maintain, Margaret is pretty cool. While the rest of our class is dutifully meditating, she’s the one I can turn to and mouth “how much longer is this?” after I show her the free Jesse McCartney concert ticket I just got. And, she introduced me to stickers from Red Bubble, and for that I can never thank her enough.
